Client interview : Eiffage Energie Systèmes

Eiffage Energie Systèmes is a specialist in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of electrical, industrial, energy and climatic systems and equipment.

The Tours agency has several services such as SETI, Electrical Service and Interior Works which represents about 200 employees.

Sébastien Sautejean, head of the SETI operations office, gives us his testimony as a user of our Gouti solution.

What type(s) of project(s) do you manage in Gouti?

"Within the execution office, our team of 10 people carry out the plans, diagrams, calculation notes to execute the projects afterwards. We manage document execution projects for tertiary and industrial electrical installations. Gouti is used by us to monitor the execution of projects and the tasks that I assign to each technician. The tasks for us correspond more to deliverables which can be plans, diagrams or even calculation notes that we then hand over to the control office for validation and finally to the client."

For what reason(s) were you looking for project management software?

"The first reason we were looking for a project management software is the tracking of hours on each project. The second is the monitoring of developments in the projects. Thanks to Gouti I have visibility on all the actions in the project, to see if the employees have taken the information into account or if it is still pending. 

I can chronologically view the data in Gouti and see how long we have been waiting for certain project information."

What made you choose Gouti rather than another?

"I tried several tools. Gouti is the most complete. It allows tracking times and changes and all that in the same tool. Other tools make Kanban tables but do not manage hours at the same time. The advantage of Gouti is that it does everything. What made us choose Gouti is also its affordable price."

What are the added values that Gouti brings you in your project management?

"The feedback related to project progress monitoring has a real added value for us. Our projects live a lot and also depend on other companies that also work on the projects. We therefore need to find all the information related to the project in the solution and what Gouti allows us. Actions allow you to manage all potential changes to trace them, know if they are taken into account or not in the project.

The reports are also an added value as they are editable directly in the tool. I can still talk about the project portfolio that allows us to manage our 20 projects at a time and to have adapted and readable views."

What benefit(s) do you get from using Gouti?

"Before Gouti, I used to do everything on Excel so it wasn’t terrible. With Gouti, I really have everything directly in the tool. From the dashboard, I access each project. It’s really a time-saver, especially when I make my weekly points with my technicians. We look at the progress, what is wrong with the project and we adjust.

The other benefit is the improvement of the process and project methodology. It’s a big plus at the project management level."

How did the integration of Gouti in your organization go?

"The integration went well. I was a bit worried that some people might drag their feet in front of a new tool. On the contrary, as Gouti is a simple software to use, the team has joined. There is no need for heavy training for a technician who has to log hours on tasks and manage his progress."
